How to export your reports, transactions and a list of sent invoices

You can export your data from the Coconut app or Coconut Web at any time.

How to Download your Business Transactions from the app

To export your business transactions as a CSV or OFX file, use the export feature in the 'Transactions' tab. Please keep in mind that the export will use whatever filters you apply.

Here's how:

  1. Head to the 'Transactions' tab in the app and tap the export icon above 'Business transactions'.

  2. Tap the option to export a CSV or OFX file.

  3. Select the date range you want.

  4. Select the format you would like and tap 'Generate'. Your transactions will now download.


How to Download your Transactions from Coconut Web

To export your transactions as a CSV, use the export CSV feature on the 'Bookkeeping' tab. Please keep in mind that the export will use whatever filters you apply to the page.

Here's how:

  1. Head to the 'Bookkeeping' tab and select a date range in the top left.

  2. Click 'All Transactions'.

  3. From the 'Actions' menu in the top right, click 'Export as CSV' and your data will download.

How to Download Reports from Coconut Web

You can download the following self assessment reports from Coconut Web's 'Reports' tab:

  • Tax Report (SA103S)

  • Tax Report over £85k turnover (SA103F)

  • Tax filing export (SNF)

  • UK Property (not FHL) Report (SA105)

  • UK/EEA Furnished Holiday Let (FHL) Report (SA105)

  • Foreign Property (not EEA FHL) Report (SA106)

You can download the following financial reports from Coconut Web's 'Reports' tab:

  • Category Summary Report

  • Profit and Loss Report

Here's how:

  1. Head to the 'Reports' tab and click on the report you would like.

  2. Select the income stream.

  3. Select the date range that you want.

  4. Click 'export'. A CSV file will now download, with the exception of the SNF Tax filing export that will provide you with a code to copy and paste into your tax filing software.

How to Export a List of All Sent Invoices

From Coconut Web, you can download a CSV export of all sent invoices that includes the following information:

  • Invoice issue date

  • State (Paid or Unpaid)

  • Gross Amount, VAT amount (if applicable), Net Amount

  • Client Name

  • Client Email

  • Invoice Reference

  • Created Date, Sent Date

  • Status (Read, Delivered etc)

  • Paid Date (if applicable)

  • Due Date

Here's how:

  1. Head to the 'Invoices' tab and click on the 'Actions' dropdown menu.

  2. Select 'Export as CSV' and your file will now download.

You can also export a copy of all of your invoices as PDFs by:

  1. Head to 'Invoices' tab and click on 'Actions' dropdown menu.

  2. Select 'Export all invoices as PDF'

  3. You'll be asked to provide an email address. Coconut will send you a link to download a zip of all your invoices

You can also do this from the application by going to the transactions tab, hit the share icon (top right) and then select 'Export invoices (PDF)' from the menu items.

How to Export a List of All Receipts

From Coconut Web, you can download a zip file of all your uploaded receipts. Here's how:

  1. Go to the 'Receipts' tab on Coconut Web

  2. Click the actions button and in the dropdown menu select 'Export all receipts'

  3. You'll be asked to provide or confirm an email address. Coconut will send you a link to download a zip of all your receipts.

You can also do this from the application by going to the transactions tab, hit the share icon (top right) and then select 'Export receipts' from the menu items.
