How to update your business name, address and details for your invoices, including your logo

Updated over 2 years ago

You can update your business details via the app by heading to the More tab > Business Profile > Tap on the edit icon in the relevant fields to edit your details.

Your logo
Here you can upload a logo to be displayed on your invoices. For more on this, please see Adding a Logo to My Invoices

Your Business Name

This is the name that can be viewed in the top right of your invoices.

If you set up to use the app as a sole trader, you'll have the option here to amend your business name.

If you set up to use the app as a Limited Company, please contact [email protected] once your business name has been updated with Companies House. The team will update this for you.

Your Business Address
This is the address that can be viewed in the top right of your invoices.

If you set up to use the app as a sole trader, you'll have the option here to amend your business address.

If you set up to use the app as a Limited Company, please contact [email protected] once your business address has been updated with Companies House. The team will update this for you.

Business Contact Details
Here you can update your business email address, website and phone number. The email address and phone number you input here will be displayed on your invoices and can differ from the details you used to register to the app with. You can find more on this here: Customise My Invoice

Your business phone number can be a mobile phone number or landline as this will only affect what is displayed on your invoices and not your login credentials.

If you need to update the phone number you use to login with or the email address we contact you on, please head over to your Personal Profile. You can find more details about how to do this here: Updating Your Personal Profile

VAT
If you're VAT registered, you can let the app know by toggling this on. As soon as you have enabled VAT and set Standard or Flat Rate schemes, all of your future income and expenses will start recording VAT.

You can read more about this here: How to Get Started With VAT

Business Type
This will display the type of business you selected when you first registered to use the app. This will likely display and cannot be changed.

What do you do
You can add your trade here, but this is optional and isn't displayed on your invoices.
