Issues Connecting Santander

Tips if you're struggling to connect your Santander account to Coconut and getting '“oops something went wrong. Unexpected Error”

Santander has updated their open banking so that new connections are needed.

If you are seeing the error '“oops something went wrong. Unexpected Error” then you are likely to have been connected using the the now obsolete Santander (legacy) connection.

If this is the case then reconnecting using the 're-authorsiation' option within Coconut will result in a error.

Please therefore connect as a new account and choose to connect either Santander Personal or Santander Business.

Once the new connection has been made then you will likely have lots of duplicate transactions. This is because the new connection will fetch 2 years worth of transactions. Do not worry as we have the ability to bulk hide all these transactions.
