We don't recommend deleting an invoice unless you are happy to have no record of it in Coconut. Before you delete an invoice, it's worth noting a few things:
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
We will not be able to retrieve a deleted invoice or the details of it.
Deleting an invoice in the app will delete it from Coconut Web and vice versa.
Deleting an invoice will not un-send a paid or unpaid invoice. Paid invoices have already been settled and unpaid invoices are those that have been sent and you are awaiting payment for.
You will not be able to use the same invoice number again for future invoices. Once an invoice number has been used, it cannot be repeated, even if the invoice is deleted.
How to delete an invoice in the app
From the app, you can delete a draft invoice by swiping left over the invoice from your list. You can also delete a paid or unpaid invoice. Simply head over to your Invoices tab > select the invoice you wish to delete > tap the three dots in the top right corner > Tap 'Delete'.
How to delete an invoice on Coconut Web
You can delete draft invoices and unpaid invoices on Coconut Web. From the 'Invoices' tab you'll see a list of all of your invoices. Simply click the three dots to the right of the invoice you would like to delete and select 'Delete'. You'll be asked to confirm the action by clicking 'Yes, delete'.
