Because the Coconut card is classed as a commercial debit card, it carries higher fees for a merchant to process than, say, a regular personal debit card.

In this case, the credit card company is the merchant and we've seen they're particular about the cards they accept due to chances of these fees eating into possible small margins (e.g. if you pay your balance in time) or even a net cost to them.

Bank transfers and direct debits should work fine here, just remember to check what information they require you to put in the reference field so that they know how to allocate your payment to your credit card bill.
