Because we're branchless, depositing cash works slightly different to how it would with a high street bank but it's just as easy with Coconut.
- Your Coconut card
- And the cash you're depositing. The Post Office need this to be at least £5 and up to £500 per top-up, GBP only. You might see a charge for additional deposits (read on for more info about that).
Then, it's off to your nearest Post Office branch.
Once you're there, head to the counter and inform the cashier that you'd like to deposit cash onto your card. Ask for the option to swipe your card.
They may offer Chip+PIN but this usually won't work. If they try this first, ask them to cancel the attempt before trying the swipe method.
Your account will then be automatically credited within 24 hours.
Be sure to keep your receipt to share with our Support team, in case there's a delay and we need to help track down these funds.
The Post Office charges for this service, so there is a small £1 charge for customers on our Start plan.
If you're on our Grow plan, you get 5 free cash deposits each month (£1 thereafter). To see our pricing in full check out our pricing page.
